Remembering Per Knudsen
Per Fabæch Knudsen, M.A.
October 1, 1953 – October 8, 2025
Per Knudsen of Copenhagen, Denmark, was the Director of the Danish Knowledge Centre for Stuttering from 1993-2011. As a national institution, the Centre was unique in its mission in Denmark as well as internationally.
Per was very active not only in pursuing the Center’s main mission, but also as a talented clinician who provided individual and group therapy for people who stutter, parent counselling, as well as workshops for clinicians.
He was also a very active partner within the Nordic countries’ organizations (Denmark, Sweden, Norway & Icelands) concerned with stuttering. He visited several stuttering clinics and laboratories in the United States.
Per published a number of books and pamphlets about stuttering, the most recent one is Fabæch Knudsen & Hans Månsson: Stuttering and Cluttering (2024).
Most of all, Per will be remembered by many here and over there as a wonderlful, kind, human being. May his memory be for a blessing.
