Fraser Earns National Awardalt text

With 1.4 million nonprofits in this country to choose from, the NonProfit Times named Jane Fraser, the president of the Stuttering Foundation, Executive of the Year for 2007.

In a front-page story, the national publication recognized Fraser for her longtime work with the 60-year-old Foundation.

In choosing our Executive of the Year, we consider executives who have made a difference not just for their own organizations but more broadly as well, on behalf of other nonprofits, said Mark Hrywna, the publications senior editor.

We also examine the impact that organizations of all sizes had on the nonprofit sector during the previous year and it was clear that Jane Fraser met that qualification in 2007, he said.
