Susan Hamilton Burleigh, M.A., CCC-SLP, returns to join host Sara MacIntyre, M.A., CCC-SLP, for another practical, clinician-focused episode exploring how to bring Stuttering Foundation resources to life in everyday therapy. Designed particularly for clinicians newer to working with stuttering or looking to expand their clinical skills, this episode explores the “Problem Solve” activity from The School-Age Child Who Stutters: Working Effectively with Attitudes and Emotions Workbook, focusing on how clinicians can support school-age children who stutter in navigating teasing and bullying. Through collaborative brainstorming, discussion, and role-playing, Susan and Sara demonstrate how the activity can be used to initiate deeper conversations, to explore possible responses and consequences, and collaboratively determine individualized approaches to navigating teasing and bullying.
