Registration Deadline: 04/30/2031

In this one-hour presentation, Sarah Delpeche, MSc, BSc(Hons), MRCSLT, RegHCPC, of the Michael Palin Centre, begins with the rationale for working through emotions with school-aged children who stutter. She then explore ways in which therapists can help children and parents to understand the emotions related to stuttering and how these emotions influence the comprehensive experience of stuttering (physically, emotionally, cognitively). She then offers suggestions for activities that SLPs may include in their clinical practice, with children and their parents, with the goal of increasing emotional understanding and development.
